Have you ever opened your eyes are looked at your life.....I mean REALLY looked at it, and wonderered to yourself how did we get here? I don't mean in a bad way, just in general. I never imagined I'd get married nearly straight out of high school; I always thought I'd go to college, get a degree, then eventually get married, settle down and have children of my own, preferably somewhere near to my family. Instead, I married nearly right out of high school, skipped college completely, moved half way across the country and I'm happier and more "complete" than I'd ever imagine possible.
I have an amazing husband, who means more to me than I ever thought anyone could. He's amazingly supportive and such a great provider for our little family. Once again, I never saw myself marrying a military man, but amazingly my family is/was super supportive and I've never been so proud of someone in my life.
We currently don't have any children, but we've finally taken the leap and started working towards them. It was actually the husband's idea; which was highly unexpected, but wonderfully exciting. It's a very exciting new venture in this lovely life we lead. We have amazing families, who are completely supportive. Actually the response from them when we announced our decison to expand our family was, "it's about damn time."
I've neglected my poor blog miserably, with the recent move and holiday season in retail. Hopefully, the blog and I will be getting some nice cuddle time very soon. :o)
For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

And So It Begins....
This is my first attempt at this, so we'll see how it goes.
I'm once again waiting on the man to get home from work; I'm certain that at this point my neighbors must think I'm a single woman with a boyfriend that visit occasionally. John's in and out at all hours, coming in no earlier than 1030p and leaving right after the sun rises. It's amazing that you can truly miss someone and yet have the pleasure of going to bed with them every night.
A little bit of us: John and I are both from the same small town in Arkansas, we have been together since July 31, 2004. We married on July 31, 2006. We currently have 4 fur-babies; Kelsi our pit-boxer mix, Stuart & Larry our chihuahuas and June our ferret. I work full time and John's a recruiter in the Marine Corps. That's how we've ended up in Mississippi.
All and all, our life is pretty simple. John's job takes up a large portion of our time, but we've learned to plan around it. We still manage to make time for us; we still have dates and enjoy our lazy afternoons at home. We don't currently have any children and I don't know that we will any time soon. Not that it would be a bad thing; I'm sure God will let us know when he's ready for us to have them. :o) Currently, we're enjoying being husband & wife, we'll work our way up to Daddy & Mommy, eventually.
